Stanley Cup at Centene Community Ice Center

Construction crews got a surprise one morning as the Stanley Cup visited the Centene Community Ice Center. The social piece is driven by on-screen text—and, optionally, an interview. Social recaps allow for an event to be covered without having to create a full feature. The style—I created from the initial recap—was to add an adjustment layer with a slight black vignette and blue hue. Interview subjects would be center-framed and look directly into camera, which gave an informal feel befitting of a social piece and allowed for a better composed shot when edited on a 1:1 frame size.

Hockey Night at Enterprise Center

This ‘90s-inspired game trailer takes the vibe of a classic monster truck promo as the St. Louis Blues don their vintage sweaters against the New York Islanders. Tickets get you the whole seat, but you’ll only need the edge!

Stanley Awards: social

Highlighting the Blues’ social media presence and success after winning the Stanley Cup, this video acted a submission for the Stanley Awards—the NHL’s internal accolade program. It was critical to showcase every medium that the Blues post on, as well as its record engagement numbers.

Now, Check this Out

After a months long break from hockey, fans rejoiced as the NHL debuted a new form of playoffs: the Stanley Cup Qualifiers. The video was inspired by Avatar: The Last Airbender, which began streaming on Netflix during the Covid-19 pause.

This is the Way

Taking advantage of The Mandalorian’s popularity, this social video was posted after a win against the Vegas Golden Knights. It had been crafted weeks earlier but a losing streak delayed its publishing.

Trade deadline: live show

Blues GM Doug Armstrong discusses the club and vision after the passing of the NHL Trade Deadline. This two camera setup was streamed live on Blues’ social media. By recording with OBS, not only could we display graphics and cut cameras in real time, but it produced a polished version that could be immediately uploaded to the website.
